hand print project

I just wanted to share a neat little way to decorate a tiny space and to remember those precious little hands of your kids. I love the idea of having a place in your home where you can see how far your kids have grown, but I did not want to do the mark their growth on the wall thing. Or a hand print outside on a stone. I wanted something I could see, and enjoy. So I bought four canvases, any size will do. Painted them all one color (I chose green) and designated a color to each kids. Painted their hand and pressed it to the canvas. I wrote each kids names and a little saying we have with our family above each hand. I also wrote how old they were in the side of the canvas. I plan to in three years trace their hand with a pen or paint and outline right over their first hand print. See the growth. Just thought I would share a little idea, I love it and so do my kids.

An up close picture of what the hands and names look like

This is my Husband and I with our hand prints and our wedding date

The phrase on the kids canvas says
On the oldest kids,     "Once was not enough...."
On the middle ones,   " Two was almost there....."
On the youngest kid    "And three is just right"
